Really cant see the wool ones being thick enough to relieve the pressure point pains. Am leaning towards a goose/duck/ feather & down one I think.
Have just last night put an old duvet on the mattress to try out. Its an old type one thats quite a dense fibre fill, not like the lovely light microfibre modern ones. Will give this a try and see how I get on for a few days.

I have just spent my first night on top of old quilt and did sleep better so time will tell, it is a fibre one 15 tog so heat seemed to stay which eased some of my constant pain.
I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.

Think I too slept better but was definately hot. The thickest duvet we ever use is 4.5tog in winter. At the moment its a 1.5, we also have a 2.5. We are both' hot' sleepers, so am now wondering if a feather/down topper would be too warm for us. Oh crumbs, this is getting so confusing !!
