BBC World Service RADIO (sorry, not TV !)

bit of a wild card but you never know, there might be someone out there who could help.
I was half awake early this morning (Sat 5 Oct) and heard some rather lovely opera-type singing on the radio, which last night was tuned to the BBC World Service all night (helps me sleep). I couldn't wake myself up properly to hear details of the article. Can't even pin-point the time but it wasn't quite daylight (useless woman !)
I've looked at the programme schedule but it gives me no clues. If nobody can help, I may be compelled to spend hours trawling the BBC I-player
can anyone shed any light please ?
Thank you :T
