I'm with TALKTALK and i am fuming with there attitude and service. I was told i could have 12mbps speed but all i get is between 1-2mbps.. Now they tell oh it's where you live and your location. But i told them where i lived when i joined and they said i could have 12 mbps. My point is now i told them i've had enough and want out they want to charge me £170.. or you don't get your mac..
Why is it my fault when they can supply the service they were suppose to

No, they told you up to 12Mbps...if 1-2 Mbps is all that your line can support, then that's all you will get. Usually down to your distance from the exchange. What do the speed estimators on other ISP's sites indicate for your line?
If the speed is due to another fault, then you need to report it and allow TT to try and resolve it.
Otherwise you are contracted to your minimum term and getting out early (which won't help anyway if it's a line issue) will require you to pay the ETC.
Is this a TT LLU line?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
To be fair all ISPs are the same, and all advertise an up to figure. If you where able to cancel the contract where else would you turn? Did your previous provider give a faster speed than you are getting now? I think now that you have committed yourself to Talk Talk best to try to work with them to increase your speeds.0

Why are you telling us this?
You should be on the TT forum boards telling THEM.
You`ve just joined the MSE forum, ranted about TT and now we`ll probably never hear from you again.(I hope)0 -
PS: if you do register on the TT forum, I'd try using a slightly more subtle username...No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Thanks for replies
I think it is a distance issue but i was told when i joined up that i may lose a bit because of the distance but i didn't expect it would be that much.. I called them and they came out to have a look. They changed the router and checked the line. I just didn't expect that by doing that they automatically put me into another contrat that's all.
But thanks for the very kind welcome0 -
