quote for supply and fit broseley 26kw boiler, £9600

Options
Just had a quote finally for this system to replace an ageing oil boiler. We are in South West Wales. Anyone else had this done, it seems a bit excessive to me as does not include a thermal store but hooks up to our existing hot water tank. The firm is msc accredited so we should be able to qualify for the rhi payments.
Thanks for any comments

Waiting on another quote now for a pellet boiler. Not really sure about pellets. Will add the quote when I get it.

Speak to Stove Point in Swansea. They stock that Broseley model. I got a very keen price when I bought my Evolution 5 from them. As for fitting like anything else get multiple quotes.

I'm looking at quotes now - cheapest for a 15kw is £13k installed for a Ravelli. Most expensive is 21k+vat for a 15kw OkoFEN

Everything seems very expensive, but I'm starting to panic as I don't want to have to buy more oil!
  • I have just been looking at the broseley website at the evolution 26.

From what I can make out there are all sorts of extra connections because of their 'SCWS' connection - emergency hot water overflow which must be piped to the outside if I read it correctly.

This probably explains some of the 'extra' cost- 9k seems hight (scarily so) though I have no knowledge of a comparison.

We are just about to buy a small 1 bedroom bungalow in Scotland which is off the gas network, it is currently heated by night storage heaters and various plug in oil filled radiators so I am just about to start a thread asking for advice
