Sorry when starting last post knew I was on meal plannig thread and then mind must have just gone blank because I skipped mid post to flylady post (but forgot to move myself)
Said it had been a bit of a week.
Just had a freebie dinnner, DS2 and girlfriend had brought a chinese home and made myself a nice meal from what they had left. Plus got some more containers for freezing homemade microwave meals.

I love this thread so here goes with my first meal plan
Beef buffad, lemon rice, cachumba and naan
Roast chicken with lemon and thyme stuffing, rosemary potatoes and a mix
of veg
Chicken, mushroom and veg pie with new pots and baby veg
Slow cooked belly pork with tangy sauce and spicy sweet potato wedges
Chicken biriyani and raita
Peppered steak, mixed veg and potato dauphinoise
Venetian liver with saute potatoes and garlicky greens
Don't really bother with breakfast, cereals or muffins for the kids.Lunch is usually sandwiches or HM soups from the chicken carcase or Thai tom yam kung.Packed lunches for the sprogs. Most of the ingredients come from the reduced section of Mr T's.Inspiration from a deep love of cooking."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0 -
Hi everyone, have to admit I'm just here to pick brains!
Sproggi-what do you stuff your cabbage leaves with? Then what do you do with them? Sound like something interesting to try...
Russetred- there's loads of stuff on yours I don't recognise. Venetian liver sounds interesting, could you share the recipe? And what's cachumba?
Everyone's weeks sound good, making me hungry and I've only just had tea!Starting early before it all gets out of control!

Hi PP,
the kipper rice pot is like a risotto really, brown rice or piella rice with tumeric, any veg chopped up and kippers that have been cooked and place them on top or flake them into the rice. Nice with garlic bread.
My inlaws brought me kippers, and i hadn't tried them before and just decided to make this and its really nice and tasty.Make £10 a day challenge March 2013 £101.24 / £240 :j
