Thanks Martin! Great SKY Package

Thanks Martin, phoned Sky with your discount code and got the following.
I was paying
Sky £21.50 for Entertainment TV
Virgin Media £20 30mb Broadband

Now 12 months:
Phone Line £9.95 (Paid upfront)
Internet Umlimited £0.00
TV £21.50
Movies
Entertainment PLUS

Great deal - I think I worked out 52% discount and the day before I had cancelled all the packages as they couldn't do any discount. Perfect timing!
Help me to help you :santa2:

  • Robert - do you mean you are an existing Sky customer and have managed to use a 50% off code?
  • Yeah, well I had the day before just cancelled it and at the time. The guy sort of said. "That's strange it was enter but not accepted." He said he maybe able to find a code that does the same thing. I did get his email address if you wanted?

So you basically got a retention deal from Sky which was nothing to do with this site.

You would never have been able to use the MSE discount code and you are lucky that the operator apparently didn't know this. Cancelling yesterday meant that you remained a current Sky customer for the duration of your month-long notice, this is the reason the code could not be applied.

Please don't send the guy's E-Mail address to others on the forum unless you have his permission to do so.

What a miserable little person. Just sound bitter haha. It was thanks to this site as he used the code I had then did the offer that was applicable.
I'm happy to give this guy's email as a contact. He was happy to help and gave me his email for this reason. I wasn't going to arrange a day out with him.

Why would I be "bitter" that you received a discount? This is a money saving site!
I was merely correcting your assertion that you had somehow had an MSE discount applied for which you are clearly not eligible.
codes are only for Sky newbies (or those who last had it 12+ mths ago) to get a year's 50% off TV packages

He gave you his E-Mail to share on the internet with strangers? I very much doubt this is the case.
