NCP 12:26 £25 Charge! 'Early Bird' £5

NCP car park was £5 early bird rate. I thought ok went in came back at 12:26 and was charged 24 hours. I arrived at 8pm and should have noted the * symbol. In small print it says early bird until midnight.
This is a total rip off. Is there anyone worth complaining too? They usually charge 24 hours at £25. I think my ticket was actually £25.01.

I think that there is a real difference between being charged a "penalty" for some sort of transgression and paying the published amount for a service you have decided to take up.
I, and I think most of the regular contributors, would agree that if you choose to use it, you should pay.
However, that requires the person offering the service to be totally up front and not to hide disadvantageous t&c in small print.
Obviously I have not see the sign in question, but if you feel that you have a good case, then take a picture of the sign, measure the various sizes of text and compare them with the BPA Code of Practice sections on signs http://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/AOS/AOS_CoP_June_2013_update.pdf
In particular, Appendix B. If this is a private car park, you have the POPLA appeal adjudicators to fall back on after making your appeal to NCP.0 -
@OP Can you explain things in a little more detail? My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

You do realise there are plenty of places you can park on-street overnight in Brighton? It's free from 6pm or from 8pm in many restricted bays - I am local(ish) and would NEVER go to a car park in Brighton in the evening! I always find a free place very close to restaurants etc., near the seafront. Why would you pay when on-street is free?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Along the seafront, drive up Middle Street and follow it all the way round; after 8pm you can park for free if there's a space. There's also a few other very central places but I will keep them to myself on a public forum!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
