You could ask them to shave their heads0

Re the dipped strainer - place it over the plug hole upside down - works just as well - mine was 69p from Kwiksave.
PS Isn't cleaning the plughole REVOLTING - used to make me heave."It was not my intention to do this in front of you. For that, I'm sorry. But you can take my word for it, your mother had it comin'."

Thank you all for all your great Ideas
our bath/shower is one that has one of those fance pop up plugs so the plug itself has a a small pipe attached , does this make any sense ???

can you not take the pop up plug out of the bath? i can in my sink one. then you get one of the dorssil ones and just lay it over the hole when you have a shower. if not i am sure the dorsill one would still work if you laid it over the top.0 -

Bleurrrrgghhh - tell me about it Luis, makes me heave everytime.
Can anyone recommend a good strong chemical (that won't damage any pipework) that will clear any blockages?Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

I have long hair and cast like a dulux dog.
I can't stand those tea strainer things and haven't the stomach for pulling it out - hats off to those who can. I'm impressed!
Not very money saving, but, I splash out on Mr Muscle Sink and Plughole Unblocker every couple of months when my shower starts to run slowly.
Worth every penny!
Don't get the foaming one for hair - useless! Make sure it's the liquid one (goes through standing water) in the orange bottle, and you're off!If it was easy, everyone would do it!0 -
As mentioned above - caustic soda does the trick, when all else (including vinegar) fails. I did my shower last week and it was clear within minutes so you don't necessarily have to leave the chemicals in your pipes for ages, if you're worried.
I'd shave my hair off, but that would be a waste of all that expensive shampoo I've bought0 -
