in Credit cards
Hi,
I bought some wooden flooring from Floors2Go back in August and the systems were down so they used a manual credit card slip. I want to close the credit card account now but the transaction still hasn't been processed??? Is there a time limit like with a cheque before it becomes void?
Louis

IIRC they have up to 6 months to take money without any notification, then up to 6 years to chase you.0

Better you call them, tell them the issues with that, Some of them may suggest the right way to go forward with that.0

Credit cards don't offer S75, the Consumer Credit Act does, so you don't need a credit card to get it.0 -
You don't get the cover if you pay by cheque or cash so how do you advise OP pays?Credit cards don't offer S75, the Consumer Credit Act does, so you don't need a credit card to get it.
IMO if OP closes the account (convenient??) then the card company would just re-open it if the transaction is processed just as they would with a CPA.0 -
The bank may also refuse to honour the transaction as the authorisation code would be invalid and account would be closed.
If the OP wants to close the card account, I would just go ahead. If the flooring company wants payment, they will soon contact them.jonesMUFCforever wrote: »You don't get the cover if you pay by cheque or cash so how do you advise OP pays?

The floor is down and I don't need protection now. I paid in August, I think I'll close the card and see what happens. Seems crazy Floors2Go aren't in a rush to draw the funds?
As the electronic credit card machine wasn't working the salesman selected cash on the till so I even wonder if they'll ever reconcile the till now?
Cheers

Money came out a few weeks ago :-(
However I thought it disgusting of Natwest to backdate to August and charge interest as I'd be unable to pay until now.0
