    Some mistake surely.

    Interest normally accrues from the date the transaction is debited from your account i.e. the posting date, not the transaction date

    (If you pay off your bill in full and on time every month then normally no interest accrues)

    I suggest you check your terms and conditions or speak to NatWest to ask them to post you the terms that allows such backdating and consequential interest charging.

    Amazing! I can imagine the date was shown as August, but are you really sure they backdated the interest until then? Do you normally pay off the card in full each month and did you pay off this in full by the due-by date?
