Thanks again Sarros and my loan was taken out in 2003. Ive now been referred to the broker (dial4 a loan) by welcome in which I have now submitted complaint details to. Fingers crossed.
Don't get your hopes up Most brokers were not regulated until January 2005. So, if that is the case with yours, then you would expect rejection on the basis of it being pre-regulation.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). This is normal if Dial4 sold you the loan and PPI, see what they come back with.
amersall further to your comment, we have no evidence of ever receiving information from Dial4aLoan ?
The only details regarding the Credit Agreement etc are from Welcome Finance ? Should there be details from the Broker regarding the loan ?0 -

Thanks for your reply that explains why I can only find details from Welcome.
Just to let you know have now received a rejection letter from Dial4aLoan saying that they were not regulated before 2005 etc. Do I know try and send complaint to Norwich Union the underwriter of the policy ?
Does that basically mean that I have no case ? Is there anything further that I can do as I don't want these crooks to get away with it !
Any help would be appreciated as I am frustrated with the whole situation now and do not want to give up without least a fight.0 -

Going to Aviva is your last hope now. However, do be aware that only in a tuny number of cases is the insurer responsible for the seller. So, dong get your hopes up.Does that basically mean that I have no case ?
It means you are reliant on a loophole that affects a tiny number of people. Statistically, chances are that your complaint is over.Is there anything further that I can do as I don't want these crooks to get away with it !
If they were crooks then they would not get away with it. However, the sale was before regulation (so no rules broken) and not unlawful (so not crooks).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Ok thanks for reply but where can I locate contact details for Norwich Union ? I do have a policy number provided by Welcome.
Do I just send the same complaint letter as I have with Welcome & Dial4aLoan ?0 -

Yes, but adjust it to reflect the fact that you are complaining to them as the insurer rather than the seller and say that you believe they have liability (probably they dont and that will be their rejection reason but you have to give it a go).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
