I forget sometimes that not everyone likes to play as dirty as me :o hence I deleted the post. ;) Their email address is listed in the auction, so you can at least make sure they don't make a penny out of the ticket, and it'll give you the kind of warm inner glow that not even Ready Brek can bring. :D

I forget sometime too TR ;) Its often not til people say 'erm no actually thats not such a good idea Rachie' that I have to slink away in to the corner smirking like a naughty school kid :D

    Very simple.....

You draw their attention to the following line of the auction..... There is no reserve on this auction..... You then advise the seller that if they do not complete, you will file a complaint with EBay for Chronic Auction nonperformance (failing to actually complete a valid sale) ...... and leave feedback accordingly. :)

I posted a simliar thread a while back as I also had a non-performing seller who was too tight to start her listing at the price she really wanted her goods to go for.
Ebay were as helpful as a chocolate teapot, they basically told me to use the feedback system which could have resulted in retaliatory feedback from her.
I managed to get the goods by grinding her down with endless emails threatening her with further action by myself and Ebay, which could result in her Powerseller status being withdrawn.
A total Lie, but it did the job.
Ebay is really unfair because a non-paying buyer gets a strike but a seller has no action taken against them(as far as i know).

Don't give up, and good Luck x
  • Well eBay were useless and sent a generic email saying that I should contact the seller or leave feedback.

But now the seller has left me +ve feedback, so now, what feedback do you think I should leave for them if any?

A seller refuses to complete a sale, lies to you, Ignores your emails, then leaves you positive feedback in an attempt to avoid negative feedback and you have to ask what feedback you should leave??? ..... ..... :p

It's a big fat NEGATIVE I am afraid ..... And as they sell tickets regularly, I'd take a little time getting the wording just right. ;)

If it is to have any impact, feedback has to be relevant to future, potential bidders. i.e.

"Having Won Concert Ticket, Seller Declined To Complete Sale At Winning Bid Price"

"Seller Advised Concert Ticket Not Available For Sale At Winning Bid Price"

"Seller Advised They Wanted More Than Winning Bid Price For Concert Ticket"

I am leaning towards leaving a negative for them but they have emailed me today thanking me for being so reasonable about the whole transaction.

But I feel a bit mean leaving a negative as she's got 100% positive so far

I am sorry, but if you don't neg them, you are a mug, and will have joined the ranks of those who spoil EBay. :(

They.... "Thanked you for being so reasonable" ??? :rotfl: You had no bloody choice in the matter did you?

They refused to sell you the item you won, they ignored your emails and you are worried about spoiling their 100% feedback?

Ever wonder why so many sellers have 100% feedback? ...... Well the answer is because some buyers are as dishonest as the sellers!!!

If ever a seller deserved a neg, this was it...... Yet by the looks of things, you won't be leaving one. :(

Sorry if this all sounds rather harsh, but from wanting to "stitch the seller up", to this beggers belief. Do yourself and other EBayers a huge favour..... remind yourself why you started this thread, read the advice given, and take it from there. ;)

All of course..... In My Humble Opinion. :D

  • I know they should get a big fat negative, but I'm easily swayed and the seller is now offering me an item they think I'll like for free as a way of saying thank you

Probably because they know how damaging a well worded negative and a non performing seller alert can be.
