    I moved the dishwasher out and the pipe going under my sink from the dishwasher was bent - problem solved :T

    So the waste was blocked then and the water backed up and the float switch did it's job. :D

    Yeah cos the dishwasher pushes against the pipe and bent it. Thanks for your help :-)
