  • Am now using the Clear Blue Digital predictor thingy and yesterday was a low fetility day but today i got a flashing face which apparently means high fertility ... eeekers - gotta DTD tonight too then and see whether tomorrow i get that exciting peak fertility face! Haven't ever got anything very clear on the IC OPKs so for me, getting something that says i AM gearing up to ovulating (and so therefore hoping actually ovulating) is MEGA exciting! We DTD on Thursday night so i guess SOME of those might still be hanging around but yep, will DTD again tonight and again etc etc!!!!

Amazing when you have been trying so long, how happy teeny little things can make you huh??
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
  • Oh meant to say - someone else mentioned smears.... I have had a letter come through telling me i need to book a smear (again bah) this month so now EXTRA hoping that i get my BFP so that i can wriggle out of the damned thing!!!!!! :D

Because of me? I was only joking about the smear .... Having had abnormal results in the past, I know how important they are - I hate them with a vengence but as you and I are probably aware, they will still perform one if I go and am pregnant so..... :A

Chocoholic - how annoying having to wait ages

Carrot - hugs for the dentist work, sounds nasty

    Hugs for the BFN Picklin

AFM am really fed up - had the brown spotting starting 2nd Oct - then realised that wasn't CD1 and that began on the 10th, now that has gone and I have brown spotting again - beginning to worry I have something really wrong. Have a smear test booked for a couple of weeks time, but not sure whether to try and see a doctor as well, my surgery are a nightmare to get an appointment with so not sure what to do

TBH you're probably best asking the nurse at your smear. Ime Doctors are less than clued up on the female menstrual cycle. The fact that its brown blood is a good sign - that's old blood and usually means your body is just having a clearout of old uterine lining but its always worth getting a medical opinion if you're worried.

Thanks Code for the reassurance, have tried Googling it but nothing really like I have got. Am hoping that when I go to that appointment it will have stopped as other wise that will be another week!!!
Am no stranger to having smear tests as mine have come up borderline each time meaning I have to go back every 6 months, am wondering if maybe there is going to be something this time that needs dealing with
  • Hugs for your BFN picklekin, could be that there's not enough hcg hormone to show a positive yet, I'll keep my fingers crossed that your BFN turns into a BFP.

Hugs for tia86 as you sound like you need them too.

Thanks Claire16c, I must have been getting the egg confused with the little swimmers. We have been BD almost every other day - OH's job means it's near impossible to BD everyday - I think it was one of the other ladies that was told by a doctor to BD 10 days in a row, and I had said earlier I think I could but I changed my mind now as OH is wearing me out lol.
It's probably pointless me continuing to BD then as I ov'd 4 days ago - but I got my OV date off the a cycle planner thingy online, I'm not using OPKs, so continuing to BD just incase I OV'd later.

OH snuck upstairs while I was getting out of the bath this morning, he was 'ready for action' and advised me that DS1 would be distracted for a while as he was playing a game. So we BD for pleasure this morning. His little swimmers are still going the wrong way - shame they can't be fitted with SatNav. Why can't they be naturally programmed to go where they need to go?

    Fingers crossed for ovulation bigmomma051204.

And thanks as always for the lists codemonkey.

Fair enough. I know it's a pain, but sometimes people complain and I think we should consider ourselves so lucky we get the option. Pre smears many more women died, and in third world many of them still do (and here too) - so it can be frustrating when ladies complain about something that we are so lucky to have as a choice.

    End lecture. :)

Just delurking, I think the egg only hangs around for 24 hours so your best bet is bd in the 3 days leading up to ov, ov, and the day after.

10 is a bit unnecessary if you know what day ov is!

I tried to do 3-4 days in a row so lead up to ov and ov was covered, and the day after if we could be bothered x

It was me claire16c that said about dtd 10 days in a row, as that's what my doctor recommends.
To be honest I'm willing to give anything a go now, even though I disagree with his opinion. It won't happen anyway as tomorrow is day 10 when we are meant to start dtd, but waiting to see if hubby can get into the hospital on Monday to give his sample for testing.

Getting annoyed can't find my cbfm anywhere! No idea where its gone, can find masses and masses of testing strips but the machine is no where to be seen.

Had a very rare Saturday night out, treated hubby and my parents to a evening out to the cinema as there was a showing of the original The Italian Job. Was a great night out, just what I needed.

Only now have to try and drag hubby away from MOTD as I want to go to bed. Feeling frisky tonight but can't do anything about it if he's doing a test, as apparently no dtd for 4 days before a deposit. Boo.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.
  • I am on CD3 now. It turned up on friday morning, two days early. Husband came home friday evening after being away for 5 days and I was looking forward to having a lovely evening and instead I was a very emotional wreck. I have only very rarely been early, so it is quite a shock and wasn't expecting it. Hoping this month will be better.
