:j Congratulations Wangdoodle.

Still no af! Had to go to the Drs about something else (which I think has actually improved hugely since I came off the pill) so I mentioned that I havent had a period since end of August and that I was irregular before going on the pill 12 and half years ago so he is sending me for a blood test to check my hormones- whilst Im glad he didn't just send me away and tell me to wait longer- I have a phobia of needles !

I have been awake most of the night with terrible period pains, I don't normally get them that bad! Oh, and I turned 31 yesterday!

I apologise in advance for the self indulgent post.. If I don't write it down though I think I may explode!

So in my letter from the fertility clinic it says we have to BD every other day... We were supposed to yesterday but all of my advances were snubbed by OH as he was watching the football... So he said he'll wake me up when he comes to bed.

I'm still waiting! He said he was too tired when he came to bed at 3:30am, clearly not tired enough to sit up half the night playing on the xbox. Now he's swanned off to football and won't be back until tea time.

Omg, I'm feel like such a cow, this TTC thing does put a lot of pressure on sometimes doesn't it?

I know last night probably wouldn't have made much of a difference (well I'm hoping it didn't anyway!) but it's annoyed me all the same!

It is amazing how ttc can take over your life and ruin any fun that there should be in bding sweetpotato. It is a fine art, enjoying your oh and your relationship in the strains of ttc. You are not alone.

sweetpotato, I think being told you have to do something can automatically make it chore, even if you may have been doing it to a certain extent anyway. Maybe try ignoring the every other day rule just for a few days and just try to spend sometime together without the pressure of we HAVE to do it tonight looming, as it risks taking the enjoyment out of it too which isn't good for your relationship, especially when it's quite a stressful time for you to go through with lots of changes etc. You might well find you end up sticking to the rule without intending to.

On a side note, hi everyone. I've been lurking around this thread and a few others lately whilst I try and plan for the future a bit... now finding that I keep wanting to pop back on and see how everyone is doing. I don't think I'll be joining the ttc club until next year at the earliest, but currently trying to weigh everything up and make some kind of plan (not that they always work! :P)

I have a quick question..... I brought some OPKs last is a month but didn't use them everyday. Anyway I work shifts, everyday has a different start time. The pack says its best to use during the afternoon. Will using at different times make any difference to the result?

Hi Jay - its usually best to try to do the test when it says-something to do with the concentration of hormone it is testing for being produced through the day so stronger in afternoon.... weird though how my CB digi OV test tells me to do it first thing in morning... :cool:

Speaking of which - i am totes confused! Usually have between 26-28days cycle and last month got my "solid smiley" on CB ov test (which means that is my most likely day i am Ovulating on) CD11. And the flashing "fertile period" face in the couple of days before hand. Which is fine. Only had a couple of the sticks left for this month so kept them until last few days - and nothing :cool: Which is weird.... because today is CD11 and i havent even had a flashing smiley today!! So assuming that my flashing smiley appears (i hope!!!) tomorrow, then the earliest that i will have OV'd this month will probably be CD14 or so. Which will be at least 2 days later than last month. So its no blo*dy wonder that i dont concieve from calendar method if my OV is days apart and different every blinking month! Unless I am being thick......?

Hi Bigmomma don't think you are being thick at all, ovulation day can change month to month it's your luteal phase which remains pretty consistent.

Personally since I've been using opks I've ov'd anywhere from cd13 to cd18 xx
