Evening everyone, I am in need of your collective expert advise.
Dad has just turned up at my flat, after taking my sister into town. Just before dropping her off they stopped at a well known fast food outlet. Dad has parked up and headed inside with sister and after locating what they thought to be a door, headed towards it. Turns out it wasn't a door, but a window pane, and dad has walked into rather forcefully, causing his glasses to dig into side of eye and cut near his eyebrow. The cut is not huge but it is already starting to swell.
Manageress filled out accident form, but was rather unhelpful towards him. Worse of all is she openly admitted the window panes look so much like the doors this is not the first incident they've had, but I think this is first time it has caused bleeding.
Luckily he's got a reciept from their purchase and sister got contact details of witness, plus photo of window. Also taken photos and will see if the swelling grows by morning.
Issue now is with dad being self employeed, if eye swells up I doubt he'll be able to drive hence no work.
Is there anything I/we can do. Dad mentioned small claims court but neither of us have experience in it.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.
I also hope your dad is alright, I cannot help, indeed I am very strongly against suing people.100 -

Thanks, went there. The cheeky chap is still in the car park wearing his hat and 'ID' tag. Parking is free but he puts it in such a way that people end up thinking that they have to pay.:eek: Glad that I know different.0 -

I notice my derisive laughter at Poland winning helped guide another goal (and put a World Cup final place beyond doubt) for England!:D
I must be the only scot I know that when england is playing another country thinks it would be ok for england to win cause I have english friends they are our next door neighbours.
Why does everyone want some random country they dont often know where is win ?
very strange.
besides I dont follow sport which sport is it you are watching ?0 -

if anyone is thinking of doing an APG for the special Ks it probably won't work given the items on promotion are all different prices
and thats if MSM reflects the 3 for £2 promo in the first place
A BM shop might work though

Oh, a difference of opinion between Aau1 and Savvy:D. If it does work (on APG), it won't work immediately I agree as will take time for it to be scanned into msm and need the '3 for £2' offer to become reflected in the pricing rather than being 'from tomorrow'.
But, if the 3 for £2 promo. is reflected, then it should work - it's not a 3 for 2 offer after all is it?:rotfl::T
I think a BM shop mixing and matching different items, e.g. including Special K bars and Special K cereal boxes, is more of a risk than an APG.0 -
