  • Thanks to those that have asked after dad, and offered advice. He's a bit shaken and was feeling a bit sick, also sore. Has gone to bed and we will see what tomorrow brings. Have got number from head office so will call them tomorrow.

    Thanks again

Oh, a difference of opinion between Aau1 and Savvy:D. If it does work (on APG), it won't work immediately I agree as will take time for it to be scanned into msm and need the '3 for £2' offer to become reflected in the pricing rather than being 'from tomorrow'.

But, if the 3 for £2 promo. is reflected, then it should work - it's not a 3 for 2 offer after all is it?:rotfl::T

I think a BM shop mixing and matching different items, e.g. including Special K bars and Special K cereal boxes, is more of a risk than an APG.

15.Multi-buy offers where the individual prices of any of the products included in the offer are different, and offers such as Buy 'X' Get 30p off 'Y', are excluded from the Asda Price Guarantee

I should really keep out of this conversation as my understanding of football, is that there is grass and a ball involved!!

TBH I dont think it is worth pursuing. Who is at fault? The owners of the building for having a window not a door, or your Dad for walking into a window? The window is stationary, probably been there for years, whereas you Dad is the moving object, and had he been walking slower or had his arm out would not have been hurt.
What losses does he have? Can he still go to work? Does he need plastic surgery?

Sorry to play devils advocate, but this is what a defending solicitor would do.

I do hope he is alright, maybe the best thing to do is to write a letter to the head office of the restaurant and ask them for something as a goodwill gesture (vouchers etc.) and a request that they do something to stop it happening again.

Thanks for the quote. The restaurant has just been redesigned and refitted. The problem really is that the window and door,as far as i am aware, looked identical, and the window he walked into is where the door used to be.
The manageress did say they've had other people walk into it, so the branch obviously know there is an issue, but can't/ won't put a notice up.
Also dad works outside in various locations so no driving= no work.

I'm hoping it can be sorted out over the phone with head office in morning.

Not looking too good on the rest of the wombles - how can you spend £89 in a Supermarket (not a superstore) and still be cheaper than all the other four? (Waities comparisons btw are back, at least on mine from today.) But, had they checked their receipt, they would be safe in the knowledge that their store was more than 10% cheaper and that they can therefore continue to shop with confidence in that store.:rotfl:

Next one, I doubt this will give anything as 50p item and cheap pasta. It looks like my own 'blind' shop will give better APG than any of the rest...:(:j:T

    [Goes off to check.]

Correct - nothing:(. But this might help someone...

I'm not supposed to be allowed to look at the T comp. as I bought one of those items on my shop. But I've had a sneaky peak anyway:D - and the SP Spaghetti 500g is better vs T at 20p. Although this was previously a 19p earlier in the year. Toilet Tissue I know is also vs T. But Curry Noodles are *not* - they are 20p in T.
Looks like I've been caught by them buying two days too late again:(:( - the Twirl bars have obviously just shot back up in price in M.

Can you give me some pointers from your floflo shop please - need something to go with the special k and can't remember how to find the "tomorrow" reductions...
