    Morning everyone.....

Hope there hasn't been too much happening as I haven't even been able to lurk this weekend. My sis is down from Leicester and she's a right slave driver wanting to get some DIY stuff done at our folks place. But much easier with 2 than 1.

Can I just quickly please ask for a vote or 2 more for my son in the Wisdom toothbrush fb photo comp. He so deserves treat if we win a voucher for a day out. Yesterday he was at his gymnastics club coaching the young beginners which he does every saturday as a volunteer, and he has been asked to go in again this morning as there will be up to 70 kids coming in to try a taster session to see if they like it and want to join, so it's going to be a couple of hectic hours for him too. You wouldn't get too many 16 year old lads giving up free time to do stuff like that!

Must go, as have to get to the gym before 10. Thanks to anyone who adds a vote for my son doing a handstand. The pic can be found on the page with most votes, and I think you have one vote a day, but please also share the votes with others who have been asking. :j
  • Morning all - miserable cold & grey here. But at least the wind has gone - it was really fierce yesterday. Couldn't keep the washing on the line :(

Anybody trying a choccie shop today? Please let us know how you get on :)

    Morning paw sniffers,

Just relented and did a Boots glitchy points shop.

    2 Dior mascaras

    Benefit false eyelashes
    Benefit eyelash glue

£65 with £37 worth of points

    All quality presents for DD

And the points will buy perfume a little nearer Christmas.

Now the day stretches ahead of me....do I go east to A or west to T:)

I was just having a look at the Home Bargains thread and someone said on there they'd found a 24v oven for truckers for £5.99 in their local store. Intrigued, I did some digging. Did anyone on here know you could get cooking appliances for your car? How brilliant is that? Something else that may be useful for you bubbs? The going rate for an oven here seems to be about £20, so a good buy if anyone sees one.

I'm guessing the 24v ovens might be too highly powered for a car but the 12 volt appliances would be ok?

    Some examples here.

    Hope is not a strategy.
  • Morning all.

Had a grand easy in lancaster , lovely weather. Virgin train on way down spotless comfortable. Scotrail on way back , disgusting ! No wonder west coast don't want to loose virgin contract !!

I know they are A v T but I fancied them and guessed I would lose may be 20-40 pence off the pp, not £7.00.

Never mind, gave me an excuse to post something useful, even if it was bad luck :-)

Hi and welcome Basildon:wave: sorry about your shop, it's very helpful to everyone else though if that's any consolation :)
