Only just finished filling in initial papers today and I have to choose registry or solicitor and send to registry. I had been burying my head in the sand it has taken me far to long.

£7 sounds right it says should be £5 to swear oath and £2 for each exhibit (will) at a local solicitor. Do you think there are any benefits time wise going straight to registry?

I would ring them and ask if you can submit papers and have them checked, then swear at the same visit. I'd think from your circumstances your application is straightforward (no other beneficiaries etc) so shouldn't need any in depth checks.

If that's possible then that might be better for you if. You can get it all done in one go and no more fretting about it and putting things off. You can always make a day of it if you're having to travel so far. Go somewhere nice for lunch.....hit the shops :)

Bless you, I know it's not been easy for you
I have a nice glass of wine here too........so here's to your dear mum :A
