The toothpaste (plus the s/gel trigger) didn't work against Tesco as I hoped it would. It did compare against Waites (but not very well) - and then of course the deo and the b/pots didn't compare. Will post the comparison against Waities if anyone wants to see it.

My best friends uncle has been battling pancreatic cancer for about 4 years.

He fought it once and went into remission. Then, about June-July tine last year, he had recurrence and was told that it was terminal, and was given 3-6 months. He had radiotherapy and somehow managed to go back into remission.

Today he was told that it is back again and has been given a "life expectancy" of 3 months :(

I'm hoping he can kick it back into remission again but I don't know this time. He is such a lovely, lovely person.

    The C word is such a C word :(:(:(

in theory can I go into Tesco and buy a prepay visa card for £50 and get 150 cc points. then use this card to buy a floflo for c+c? thus not using my address and not linking my new Tosco account to me?

    thanks xx

Im so excited and terrified all in the same breath,

I heard early hours of this morning that a close friends young lad, he is 14 is on way to hospital for kidney transplant. They found what they think is a match.

He has been on dialysis for a long time and been ill since he was born.

Its been hard to wish for a new kidney because of how they become available. However I'm so happy that the poor person chose to be a donor.

    Will know later today

    Love to all
    Xx

Both my hubby and brother in law have had transplants. Wishing him all the luck in the world. (())

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.
  • Thinking of you Q of C. Life can be so cruel to such good people.

Hope you are as ok as you can be rudeboy.

Well I did a CC order was expecting the toothbrush to be OS . but was nt but I had targeted the shop against morrisions with beer for a £10 pp. so I have sort of messed up all round. Waiting for the pp to come in, thought it would be in straight after I picked up wrong again! then I will have to take the beer back. does anyone know please if you can take the beer back to any CC store. as the store where I ordered it from was near my mums not near mine. thank you

That's EXACTLY why I've bought mine - and for the CC points, of course.

Because it shows on your APG i assume it can it be used as one of your 8 items

I met them initially when my DD was in kidney unit with kidney failure due to scarlet fever of all things, I was a wreck inside and his mum was and is amazing.

I'm glad you have been able to get two, but I know whats that has meant for you before, during and after.

My Dad was 4 years on dialysis for four years until my mum gave him one of hers.

Kidney arriving at 8pm, they struggling with some procedures, but fingers crossed
