He fought it once and went into remission. Then, about June-July tine last year, he had recurrence and was told that it was terminal, and was given 3-6 months. He had radiotherapy and somehow managed to go back into remission.
Today he was told that it is back again and has been given a "life expectancy" of 3 months
I'm hoping he can kick it back into remission again but I don't know this time. He is such a lovely, lovely person.
The C word is such a C word
So sorry queen of cheap.
Sending hugs. :AN1LDA0 -
The garden trampolines are usually fine if you have a net around them to stop inexperienced jumpers falling off and you only allow one person at a time. And not great height can be gained because of the type of webbing.
I sound like I'm running the sport down but I'm not as it's a great way to keep fit, get rid of unspent energy in young children (DD2 was bit hyperactive when little), and when competing gives such strength in character. But I would encourage it to be learnt in the safe environment of a British Gymnastics club.
I totally agree about going to a safe environment. Having run a club for nearly 30 years, of the thousands of kids that have come through the club in all of those years we have only had 3 or 4 breaks (I hope I haven't jinxed us now).
Garden trampolines are fine if they have the discipline to start with, and whilst nets will stop them falling off, they only get in the way when paramedics need to get to a person who has injured their neck and needs a stretcher.
However the sport is brilliant and there are loads of excellent clubs across the country.0 -
TS sorry that the news for your dd is not better but please don't blame yourself. I did this with my ds sporting injury and it makes things extra hard. You sound like a lovely Mum and incouraging sports is a really good thing to do. So many kids are left to hang around streets and not given any encouragement with any hobbies and pastimes xx
You are right cjj, I hope your ds is fully recovered. x0 -
