Hi - You are not alone... I too have received a parking fine at this same car park. The driver assures me that they paid £1.00 to cover the advertised one hour cost of £0.80pence. The ANPR images agree as they are timed one hour apart and so I am not sure what the attempted fine can be for?..

I have read somewhere else that Companies like this are now enforcing parking fines for parking outside of the advertised pay and display times so that if you pay the required sum for an hour at say 5.15pm and leave at 6.15pm you will get the fine because the car park closed at 6pm. I find this a bit hard to believe - anyone have information on this?

The contravention is.. "Parked after the expiry of time in a pay & display car park."

Edit to add... I do have images of the signage at this car park and tried to upload them but couldn't do so as a new user.

You don't need to upload images and you are on someone else's thread anyway so it wouldn't be the right place.

Just click where my signature tells you to, in order to get (one click back, effectively one step back in the breadcrumb trail leading you through the forum) to page one of current threads. Then get your bearings and read the top sticky thread 'newbies...have you got a private parking ticket? Read this now!'

And read 'successful complaints about PPCs' near the top as well.

Start your own thread if you need help at POPLA appeal stage to get it right, to make it a winner.

Just won my Appeal :), I barely put any real effort into the appeal, only point I made was the £100 fine is not a genuine Pre Estimate of loss.

If anyone gets caught at this car park, complaining of Signage is not the way to go, the place is very well signed I dont really know how I missed it.

Did you actually call it a "fine" in your appeal?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
