Starts again from monday - for new customers only
Open a bank account and use their AATS service to transfer from elsewhere, and pay in £1000 for two consecutive months, and get £100. There's also a deal involving opening a credit card at the same time and getting £25.
More details to come on Monday..

Thanks, scooby359, for alerting people. I applied, last time around, & hope to receive the £100 incentive by end-June. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying 6% interest on up to £2,500 balance in cheque account - nice.
Any idea if existing ownership of the Halifax-controlled Amazon credit card would proclude customers from receiving the £25 incentive if opening the Halifax credit card you mentioned?0 -
The £25 is if you balance transfer £1000 to a One Card, the amazon card wont affect it.0

i missed it last time too! hubby got his £100 last week i think! Will finally get round to it this time - although many people weren't too impressed with their service. I'm with lloyds and have never had any trouble so would rather stay with them.
AFAIK, i can just switch over a couple of DDs rather than the whole account - is this still right???0 -

Last time you had to use their switching service to qualify for the £100. incentive, but you get a letter detailing the DD's/SO's and you can tell them the ones you don't want to move, haven't looked at the T&Cs for this one so check them out, they won't switch until you confirm.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
I will go for it - question now is whether to go for high interest (6.17%) or cashback (1% back on all debit card transactions to a max of £100 in a year I think). I average £200 balance in the account - can anyone help with the maths between the two options?
Also I am stoozing at the mo for another 3 months so most my purchases are onto a credit card anyway for now...MFW #185

I have a joint account with OH purely for joint bills with halifax. I'm looking to transfer my own account where my salary etc goes from hsbc. Does the joint account exempt me from £100 offer?Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

I got my £100 last time. Used a near dormant Cahoot current account. Set up a couple of £10 standing orders to savings accounts first. As soon as the standing orders appeared on the HFX account I cancelled them. The DDs were old & no longer used so not a problem to transfer them. Cahoot account still open ready for the next mug offer!Ethical moneysaver0
