Blackberry Pearl - do I have to have instant email?

Hi

Question for you - if I get myself a Blackberry Pearl, in order to use it (on T-Mobile), is it mandatory for me to sign up to their instant email plan (£10 a month)? Not something I want but I love the look of the phone anyway.

Thanks

  • Hiya,

Although it does say that it is mandatory on the T-Mobile website you are able to get it away from T-Mobile direct without the £10 add on. However if you are going to use push/instant email at all i'd say get the add on as push email can be really expensive datawise if you go with a pay-for-what-you-use approach. If you aren't bothered by email then just leave it off.

It's available on normal Flext plans from a few different retailers, with cashback too. Try Onecompare.com and see if the plan you wanted is on there.
