I don't think it's closing down - not sure losing my business would do that to them!!

I quite like a few shabby chic things to give a farmhouse kitchen look, and understand that this means hand made fabric items such as these will not be as perfectly finished. But there is still a requirement for basic quality (such as mats that lie flat) - in this case the company abused their disclaimer and tried to hide behind it for something that was unusable and therefore unacceptable.
