Buy three Tesco hudls! Three different colours!0

I use an iMac as my desktop and MacBook Pro laptop. You'd think the logical tablet for me would be an iPad but I ended up with a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
I'm surrounded by gadget lovers and had loads of tablets to play with to help make the choice. I liked the iPad but I liked the Samsung better and I haven't been disappointed, I don't regret choosing it for a second. It's a very versatile bit of kit.
My advice would be to try as many as you can and choose the one that suits your needs best rather than choosing the most popular. My second choice would have been a Nexus but I wanted a bigger screen.
I had a quick play with the Hudl in Tesco this morning and my first impression was that it was pretty good. I'd need longer for a more in depth look but I think they'll sell like hotcakes. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
Avoid the Hudl, it's made by Archos so expect it to have loads of issues.
Get a Nexus 7, or a Nexus 10 if you prefer the bigger screen size.0 -

Ordered a Hudl online yesterday for £9 using £55 worth of these voucher things that I normally never use. If it works, it works although reviews aren't too bad? Fingers x'd.0

I bought a Hudl, after my so called superior Nexus 7 screen cracked and Google refused to repair it.
I have had no issues with the Hudl. Very good Tablet for the price.0 -

I don't know where this rumour has come from. It's not made by Archos, it's made by Wistron who used to be the manufacturing arm of Acer and have ties to Microsoft.
It's quite likely therefore that Acer tablets are made by the same people who make the hudl!!

According to this Archos press release the Hudl features software engineering and architecture provided by ARCHOS so I guess that means they Tesco-ified the firmware. So you're just relying on them for updates. Normally this itself would send me into a panic, but with a customer like Tesco breaking down the door if they don't deliver, they should be on the case.
So if you're after a smaller screen, I'll change my mind and suggest it's definitely worth a look.0 -
PC Pro first review of the huddle it came out as decent for the price .
Google Play works and that will be a key for many users
.Its almost certain to knock the cheap 7" tablets out of the, market .

The hudl is very good for it's price spec-wise, but there is a better option in the Asus Memopad, it is a rebranded Nexus 2012 but with a few extras, like memory card slot. Both of these run around £119-£129.
If you wanted to splash out,Samsung are releasing/ed a new Galaxy Notebook 10.10
