Adult only Holidays but no section for Adults on flight

We booked an adult only holiday and had expected to be seated with like minded passengers on our flights. This was not the case and on the outbound flight we had the family from hell with young children in front of us, with parents doing nothing to try and quieten them down. We know there were at least 30 other passengers staying at the same hotel and on the same flight of us, so something to be done was possible. The return flight was better but not perfect, surely there is a case if you book an adult only holiday that a section of the aircraft could be reserved for adults If this is not the case the should not you be advised at the time of booking as the I think The trade description of Adult Only holiday should include the seating on the aircraft.

Wouldn't you still be able to hear the kids in an adult only section of a plane? Plus one row either at the back of that section or the front would still have a row of kids possibly in front of them?

Unless you want a curtained off section like first class and coach on some long haul flights in which case if it is a smaller plane you would not be able to have this

I remember going on an 18-30 hol [many years ago :) ]

They allowed old folks [sucking Werther's Originals and smelling a bit odd] on the same plane, right next to those of us that were trying to have a bit of fun - it's not on
Is it too late to claim from someone?
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
  • Haha - good point. Nothing worse than old people getting in the way of a good time.

As for the original post - I think health and safety would take precedence anyway so you could never be certain where people would sit.

however it does sound a good idea in principle.

wonder if any other people know why it doesnt exist?

    Love this post!

Adults only doesn't mean the plane. Did no one explain this to you?

Loving the image of all these 'like minded passengers' throwing their boarding passes into a bowl ;)

OP, where people sit on the plane bears no relation whatsoever to the resort they're going to when they arrive at their destination, I'm surprise you think it would. Do you not travel much?

This has to be a wind up.

Does anyone really think that sitting in a metal tube for a few hours forms part of the holiday

its a means to get from A to B thats all

Suppose you'll be complaining there was no action in the taxi to the airport next.

Seriously, try an adult only cruise next year - they tell me the fun starts on the train down to Southampton.
