VICTORY!!

Got a letter from SIP today with a copy of the notice of discontinuance of the case.

The letter from court only arrived at mine on Saturday and they cancelled it on Monday, so clearly the defence was enough to dissuade them!

Either that or the BPA investigation had something to do with it, as they sent me a letter apologising for their mistake of quoting POFA and blaming a computer system error! lol I made sure I mentioned this to the BPA, along with the fact that they sent a letter 5 months after that one, still quoting POFA, so clearly their error went on for a while!

I'm guessing though, if that was the case, they'd have made reference to it, and made it look like they were being kind and doing me a favour by cancelling it as a show of good faith for their mistake or something.

Just to make sure I was in no doubt about their ineptitude, they managed to write my name under claimant, and have to cross it out to write their name, and only put the end of the claim number on, and had to squash the letters at the beginning over the line into the box saying Claim number! lol

The signature is a bit hard to read, and it's accompanied by a printed name, but it looks like it may well be "N Sarwar" who lists her job as "Case Handler", so definitely not a solicitor, or at least not acting as one. Thought this info might be helpful to anyone else who she is listed on the documents for.
