Netflix Question

How does Netflix work with regards to multiple users?

Could we watch something downstairs and son watch something different upstairs as you can with Sky Multiroom, or does it not work like that?

You should be able to stream two movies to different devices at the same time.

    Yes you can.

I am not sure what the total number of simul-streams you can have is but it is at least two. Unlike Sky multiroom you don't have to pay a monthly surcharge for each television.

You can have as many users as you like (I think) but they do not seem to have the watched-lists password protected.

Some devices may have to be registered separately (up to six) but I do not think that includes those using the same wireless modem.

Many thanks. Sounds like it's a viable option for us to consider.

It definitely doesn't mean you have to use the same modem, my kids regularly use my Netflix account at their friend's house.

Why the guessing? read the link.

    Who's guessing?

I did read your link. Although it answered the user question it did not make it clear whether extra users = extra cost.

"The number of devices that may be allowed to instantly watch simultaneously will depend on your membership plan. To see the details of your membership plan, go to "change plan information" in the Your Account page. You may have up to six (6) unique authorized Netflix ready devices associated with your Netflix account."
