Well being 37 weeks pregnant and having a 3 year old who is ill so waking in night at the moment I knew I would be up in the early hours and sure enough I was up at around 4.30-5am so went on Boots, S&G was in stock, website quicker than normal and added to basket no problem - brill as I had spent last night adding things in my basket so all I had to do was add S&G to my order and checkout.... so when I tried to get to my basket 'devil child' as she has been nicknamed on here appeared followed by generic errors every time! I gave up in the end and a couple of hours later got an email from Boots saying sorry I had technical issues and they had 'helpfully' emptied my basket for me!! Cheers for that Boots I only spent all of last night putting everything in my basket! Arrggghhh

Needless to say I didn't get one and it is out of stock now, I am not too bothered but will be very annoyed if I don't get a No. 7 one next week
  • i was very tempted to buy one for myself, but couldn't really justify it as i have waay too much soap & glory stuff as it is

they were still in stock at the liverpool street store not so long ago...had to drag myself away

now they have sold out online, at least that will stop me caving in later!

will the no7 one be on OOTW as soon as all the soap & glory ones have sold out, or will it still be weds / friday anyway?
anyone know how much they will be on offer at?

I think No. 7 Set will still be Wed as planned. Rumoured to be around £32 (which sounds about right as I am sure it was about £30-32 last year)

Ordered mine online for Next Day delivery. Got email confirmation. It hasn't been dispatched though. I'm a little concerned it's not going to be here tomorrow. I ordered it at 7 am.

    :/

There definitely isnt the same excitement as there was the Year Of The Hatbox. :D I still have my hatbox, I love it. The packaging isn't as nice now.

AND the hatbox was £20 and 3 for 2! I bought 3 for £40. Makes the new set seem a bit dear.

I bought 3 too, used one as a gift, used some of the contents of the other as gifts ... but still have a few bits to use up even now. Only just passed the hatbox itself on to a charity shop last month. Great days on the old Boots thread :T

I know I'm risking sounding totally out of place asking this but...
what's so special about S&G products? Are they actually fantastic quality? Not just the pretty packaging and witty names?

I popped into my local Boots about an hour ago and there were loads of Yule Monty sets. I was a bit tempted, as the bag was huge and pretty, but resisted temptation. I've never used S&G products apart from powders and shadows that were in Girl-o-Whirl set so couldn't really decide if the Yule Monty was worth £27 or not.

IMO it is DEFINITELY worth the £27. S&G products are some of my favourite (behind Lush). They smell great, last ages, the packaging doesn't matter to me. It's all about the quality of the product and S&G hits the right note on most of their products. I've only used one thing that I didn't like.

Ohh, I might have to go back to the store tomorrow morning then :D May I ask what was the thing you didn't like?:)

Definite bargain at £27! I'm a big fan of soap and glory can't really afford it for day to day use but I always spend my saved up boots points on soap and glory stuff. The hand food is the best thing ever I have a small one in every bag and a big one by my bed. It's great quality and smells amazing!
Fingers crossed my mum was able to get my Yule Monty today! There are a few bits in it I've not tried before so looking forward to trying them, but the lipgloss will be re-gifted (I'm allergic to most lip glosses, it's really annoying!) but I know any of my friends would love it so it's an easy one to get rid of...
I just wish flake away was in there :( though it is in 3 for 2 mix and match... might have to treat myself ;)
