Hoppa Bus Heathrow

  • Just another tip, if you must go from Paddington, use the Heathrow Connect, not the express. If you aren't actually near paddington check out the underground. Cheap, and far easier than most people think.

Do you think it is better this than the tube from Paddington to Heathrow? I am trying to find out a quick way to get there without spending a fortune

There's no direct underground line from Paddington. To use the tube, you'd have to change to the Piccadilly line at Earls Court or Hammersmith. The cash fare from Zone 1 to Zone 8 is just shy of £8.

From Paddington, you have the choice of two direct rail services. Heathrow Express is a non-stop service, but it is expensive (around £20). Heathrow connect is stopping service, but is much cheaper (£9.50 each way).

Depends where in London you are starting from.
For example I start at Waterloo ...and I *could* get the tube but don't like lugging luggage on stairs so I get the overground Waterloo to Feltham and then the bus (stops at all terminals) using my Oyster for the bus. Quick, no crowds, less walking .............Personally even if I lived in Paddington I wouldn't get the Heathrow Express unless work were paying ;) I think it is really over-priced.
