I think you can almost get to the other Bath Rd PI on a free flow bus too? At least, I'm planning on giving that a whirl on 24/12.
On google maps it looks just across the road and a few hundred yards' walk (which will be nothing compared to where we will have already dragged suitcases from).
If anyone knows different, please say!!!0 -
Sorry, I didn't realise there were 2. I'm at 15 Bath Road0

The green tinted area shows the Free zone
15 Bath Rd is the yellow circle with '8' in
We've stayed there a couple of times, used Hoppa buses both times. First time was ok, second time was a nightmare. We stay at the other one now as it is closer to T5.

I like this site for LHR hotels...and it has a map with bus stops as well.

and I kind of hate the Hoppa bus...inevitably we get there as one is leaving and it's approximately forever until the next one...every time...but we normally stay at the HI M4/J4 and I don't think the local buses are an option...got one once to the Park Inn and it was fine and easy. We always just take a taxi to the airport the morning of our flight as I don't trust the Hoppa when I have a plane to catch.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Yes, from the Holliday Inn you can get the 222 service to the Bath Road then switch to any number of the free services to the terminals. I like the Holiday Inn M4J4. The pub outside the main gate, The Plough, does excellent food at a fraction of the price of the hotel.0
