Where customers don't contact us, we'll be actively phoning them.
I'm sure they'll look forward to that phonecall ! I take you'll be advising them if they can do better with a different company, which they probably can ?
You've picked on the most vulnerable to exploit and you don't have any excuses.0 -
I agree. This is an open market and if i were an EON customer, i certainly wouldnt want to subsidise others by having a notional and hidden increase in my tarriff.Big profits to be made from the OAPs in winter. Well done EON.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -

The bigger scandal is they announce it today the 2nd October, and the Tariff will commence to end from the 7th October
as noted in the sticky forum post, they did announce it in August. the fact nobody paid attention to the announcement and BBC decide make it a headline today. Its a great shock story to coincide with Red Ed's madcap scheme :T:T0 -
Hi all
Thought I'd just confirm, we have decided to close our Staywarm tariff.
Staywarm was actually withdrawn for customers to switch to in September 12.
From 7 October 13, we've decided it will close altogether as current contracts end.
We'll continue to honour existing contracts with the last customers moving off in October 2014.
Unless we're told differently, Staywarm customers will be renewed on to our standard tariff (E.ON Energy Plan). Unlike some other tariffs, our standard plan has no restrictions or tie-ins. This leaves customers free to switch tariff/supplier at any time without penalty.
We're writing to all customers as their contracts end asking them to contact us so we can make sure they're on the most suitable tariff for their particular circumstances. We started doing this in August.
Where customers don't contact us, we'll be actively phoning them.
Hope this is of interest.

Why aren't you stopping a different tariff and leave this one as it is?It's someone else's fault.0 -
Why aren't you stopping a different tariff and leave this one as it is?
Hi dodger
As a result of the need to reduce the number of tariffs offered, we've had to make certain decisions that, we believe, are in the best interests of the majority of our customers.
We've removed a number of tariffs in recent months. As there's only a small proportion of customers remaining on Staywarm, it was decided to include this product among the tariffs no longer offered.
Also, as we continue to offer a tariff exclusively for people aged 60 and over, we're unable to offer Staywarm as well.
Hope this answers your question.

Back in July Mr Ed Balls pointed out that 80% of Welfare went to the elderly... and Labour intended doing something about that. Don't hold your breath....the Cons are and offgen are doing it already. eon, npower and now asda mobile...they are all hitting on the elderly.0
-
Did Mr Balls also point out that it was todays's elderly, when they were younger who gave him all the cash that he and his government were chucking around when they were in power.
Most of today's elderly are those who worked and paid into the system so that they'd get their benefits (called pensions) when they retired, which is what they are now getting, not because they are scroungers but because they worked and paid for them.
A lot of the elderly are still paying tax and so subsidising those who aren't working or paying tax or contributing towards their pensions when they become elderly - it's those that will have the problem because there will be no money left when everyone is on benefits.
Why should some pay twice as much so that others can only pay half as much. I don't see two tier pricing in Tesco's, down the petrol station or even in the tobacconists so why should electricity or gas be any differentNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
