So definitely a V4043 2 port Zone Valve then and it looks like Ollski may be right about the two pipes disappearing behind the cylinder and reappearing from it being the HW circs to/from the cylinder. I'd still like to understand how those are connected to the cylinder and if a pic is difficult seeing as its round the back a "word picture" would probably do. If its one of they U shaped heating elements inserted in an immersion heater boss then why aren't they suggesting pulling it and replacing it rather than faffing about with a powerflush - silly me forgot thats BGs standard fixall solution to all problems.

Hi - not sure if this is the right forum but it came up as I have also been recommended to have a powerflush by BG. This for 11 rads plus magnabooster comes to £1200 apparently! I think I probably should have a powerflush as the water out of the rads is black. Looking around I came across the company Pulse Powerflush which is (obviously) much cheaper and gives a 3-year guarantee. Anyone heard of them/tried them? BG guarantee is for life as long as we keep a BG Homecare agreement - not sure what happens if we cancel that and go for a cheaper version with someone else. Any comments would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
