Wembley is terrible. Some places you don't want to go at night, I very reluctantly go there in the day when I need to go to Ikea and that is on the edge of Wembley.0

Suggest go see the places, at different times of the day. You'll work out where you want to buySo many glitches, so little time...0

Hounslow and much of West London seems little more than a conduit to Heathrow and a quagmire of featureless dual carriageways. There are pockets of more intimate areas, mainly along the river or towards Kew. At the eastern end of the Borough Chiswick and even Brentford/Syon skirting the Thames is much nicer, but too up-market for your needs. Harrow Weald, North Harrow, Stanmore, etc are much nicer quiet, leafy suburbs for the most part. You might try Colindale, Edgware, Kingsbury, etc if you want a decent 3-bed semi for a reasonable price as you're more likely to find something larger within budget. These are fine places to live with good connectivity and tube coverage.0
