  • Have you visited any of these properties?

Hounslow is a absolute dump but you might be able to extract maximum rents by having a nice big shed in the garden.

    Hounslow:

    Not good for family

    Low crime rate? - Ha!

Surprisingly expensive for such a dump.

Isleworth, Greenford, Brentford, Uxbridge, Hillingdon, Ruislip, West Drayton etc all much better areas close to Hounslow. In fact except Feltham and Southall - just chose anywhere near there for the same price bracket and you would have done better than Hounslow.

what you think is best of these area HOUNSLOW, Harrow Weald or North Harrow because i don't have any experience in property in london
    thanks again
  • For God's sake! If you don't know these areas well then you shouldn't buy in any of them. Most especially for a first-time buyer entering into the letting business.

Buy in an area you know personally, then you should have a better idea of whether your business-plan is based on hard, cold facts or just fantasy.

According to someone I know who has viewed some properties down there apparently you can charge what you like for a shed without planning permission.

As others have mentioned why are you considering a house as a BTL in an area you don't know? I assume from your username you're from Manchester so why don't you purchase a couple of houses up there if you want to be a LL. How do you intend to manage the properties from such a distance with no experience?
  • thanks for all reply

What about Harrow Weald near Headstone Lane,Harrow & Wealdstone stations .
  • Harrow Weald is a bus ride away from Wealdstone station. If you want a property with easy transport links go for North Harrow. Both areas are awful IMHO but you don't seem to be concerned about that if it's for rental.
