Well, I got it semi-sorted out. Went into Castlecourt yesterday, tried Debenhams and found absolutely no lingerie at all so no luck there! Was very unimpressed with Pretty Woman as well, sales staff made no offer to help me (despite me wandering around looking confused) and didn't think they had that good a range anyway.

Went into M&S today, found they'd refurbished the place and the lingerie department was much improved. Loads more choice and great fitting rooms (excellent lighting). Took about 10 bras in and tried them all on, I'd been squishing myself into a 36C because that's what size they kept telling me I was, but when I tried on the 36Ds they were instantly more comfortable. I was quite comfy in 34Ds as well, so I think maybe I'm somewhere in between there, but definitely not a C.

I'm still not convinced I'm wearing exactly the right size, but I'm a lot more comfortable and look a lot better already, so pretty happy. Guess M&S doesn't totally suck, you just have to figure it out for yourself!

And now you know all about my boobs! :D

So we have mention of man bras and, if I understand you correctly you are trying to dam the flow of milk with some underwire ... boy you females are complicated :D

Put on bra on, at loosest hook, while leaning forward then before standing up straight, grab both underwires and wiggle them a little to get boobs to sit properly.

The band should take most of the weight, not the straps.

If band goes up at the back, then band size is too big. If underwire sits away from the ribcage underneath or at central gore, you need a larger cup size.

As for style, if you are fuller at bottom of the breast, try balconette. full cup bras are best if boobs are erm..full :) otherwise itll gape where cup meets strap.

Anything over DD try to look for sectioned cups, lightly padded, and/or sling support (side bit which supports the breast) Freya and Fantasie are brands designed with larger cups in mind.

Speaking on behalf of the blokes on here, this has been an interesting read, its a pity there are no pictures allowed on MSE-fourms :D

There are always a couple of points that need to be raised in any discussion
