Best place to pre order Call of Duty: Ghosts

Options
Hello all,

Just wondering where you all think the best place will be to pre order Ghosts? I have got a free trial of amazon prime for 30 days which I activated yesterday. Do you think I should just pre order it with them or pre order it with somebody else.

Let me know what you think.

Many thanks,
Andy

  • I would probably say, don't bother pre-ordering it. Pop down to Tesco/Sainsburys on day of release and pick it up cheaper. Games don't really sell out like consoles do on day of release.

Good point, I will probably just go down to Asda or something because its right by my work. At least then I know I am going to get it.

Also consider the mini 'fiasco' with GTAV, where some people received it very early which is fine (BTW), whilst others didn't receive it till after the launch, and considered buying it a second time to then have at least one to play and one to return..

You might save a couple of pounds buying it online, or any one of the supermarkets is likely to have a spend XX in store and get it at a slight discount...

Given that it will want to aspire to GTA's launch sales - availability will never be a issue...
  • I think the reason why everybody pre orders is because they are scared its going to sell out!

But that has never happened with Games..

Consoles yes - because you want to feed the frenzy of demand & scarcity..

But with Games, each Triple 'A' title is hoping to out do the last one within the launch week so the publishers would not want that to happen...

they do often sell out in the cheapest places. also the last time i checked it was £35 on amazon with free first class delivery. i cant see a supermarket beating that. the last few years they have hovered around £36 to £38. the last time they had really good prices was when modern warfare 2 came out.

I picked up Blops 2 last year from Tesco £29.95. Supermarkets will always strive to beat online retailers (tesco's do anyway)

True, plus supermarkets can also look to make a slight loss on it (e.g. Buy at X when spend so much in store).. since it brings people in to do weekly shop at the same time..
