mobile shop - no cashbacks?

I've a contract with this company and should have received my cashback by the end of April. They have put out a message on their website stating they are having technical difficulties paying out the cashbacks. However they are offering 110% of the cashback in Argos vouchers instead. His anybody else had their cashback resolved?

I'm worried that the company might fold or something and I'll lose my cashback.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

I can;t remember when my last cashback was, but I've been with Mobileshop for 2 years now with no problems. In fact I've found them more helpful than others for cashback.

ACtually, as a caveat to my last post, I have just seen that there is a lot of stuff on the Mobileshop thread on this forum about problems with cashback recently, so probably some caution required.

Bchookang if you have had a cashback in the last 6 months then you would have almost certainly had problems with getting your money back from mobileshop. If you have been with them for 2 years then I guess you will have a claim coming up soon and sadly you will feel the frustration that the rest of us have endured. So far I have had all my claims paid but the last 6 have all been late ranging from 1 week to 40 days. This in itself I could put up with but it has been going on for so long that I firmly believe they are in financial trouble and do not swallow their excuses about system troubles. I will not use them and recommend that everyone else leaves well alone.

Been waiting over 100 days for my second cashback payment.
So much for the 60 days!
It's strange how they can get the Argos vouchers out within 7 days, but it takes so long for the cashback!

    Be cautious!!

Just keep phoning them!...I had same trouble and got all the usual replies about technical problems etc.,but eventually got £105 paid into my account after 85 days.I've been with them for 2 years and must admit they are alot slower now than they ever were but i'm sure you will eventually get your cashback.

Apparently they lost the bank details from their database. They know the amounts owed to each customer but not where to send the money to, therefore they have to check each claim manually. Or so they say. They ignored my offer to send them my bank account details.

Third claim at 142 days and rising, fourth and final claim due in 9 days. I might get my money eventually but I won't be buying from them again.

I did send them my details on one occasion knowing that they were going to spout all that guff about database corruption etc and just like they did to you you they ignored it completely. This proves the lie that payments are being delayed because they are having to credit them manually.

I would accept the vouchers instead. Lets face it Christmas is only 6 months away now and an extra 10% for them being numpties is a good thing.
