I'm also going to get a tin of City blue paint for DGS new room.
Dh has a day off tomorrow so we are going to do some organising of furniture etc. hopefully she will be moved in by November.
I really need to do some Christmas planning, have not bought a thing yet but strangely can't get worked up about it.
I'm going to see if ds3 phone is covered on our house insurance I'm guessing it's probably not:(

busy morning here. did school run then came back to get my purse as i forgot to take it with me. then off ot morrisons for few bits. still forgot bin bags *rollseyes*. tidied boys room, dusted and hoovered. changed bedding. kitchen has just been scrubbed. floors swept and mopped. am i the only one who seems to be constantly hoovering and sweeping/mopping?? how can two little boys and me get a the floors so dirty in day??

need to give the bathroom a good scrub and mop in there. then run the hoover over in the living room. by that time it should be nearly time to go back on the school run.

chicken stew in the slow cooker for dinner tonight already. ds will no doubt come in from school and straight up to his bedroom to rebuild his train track. he didnt want to go to school this morning because he didnt get chance to have a quick play with it this morning. i thought he might have grown out of trains by now but clearly not :o

anyway i'm rambling. hugs to anyone i have missed and needs/wants one :)

  • Afternoon all
Well I've been I've doned & I've come home again.
I'm tired, but not exhausted, so that's good, hubby need picking up at 10ish, so I'll have a snooze before then.
Hubby went to the Dr's and has been referred to the hospital for his hearing problems, Dr told him that he is deaf and it's not the rest of the world mumbling, just think, if they sort him out I'll only have to say everything once instead of twice.
Nar, I'm glad you know your place!
BBird, I can't get on facebook at the moment, I'm sure your hair looks fab.
    Have a good afternoon everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • Lovely 4hours in the park with Noah's friend and his mum... Wh I didn't know that well but chatted for 4 hours about the boys autism, she turns out to be ex mental health nurse and also into food, baking, growing veg and pickling etc so we had a lovely chat :-)
Both brought food and snacks and laid it on picnic table in local village park and the boys had a great time and mrs milks slept on my knee in a blanket... Was quite blowy as its up in hills of Peak District so no shelter.... Brrrrrr.
Mrs milks not having much of her feeds due to teething and a cold so keeping an eye on that.
    BB hair looks fab!
Lou.... You seem in a very good place ATM:-)
  • Well the redundancy meetings rumble on, still not over due to a few last minute questions and now predicted to be Friday. Management did not even bother to turn up and HR could not be bothered taking a 10 minute walk between sites so dialled into a teleconference meeting. :(

On a more positive note, I have found 3 jobs to apply for over the last couple of days and 2 are much closer to home, so have submitted CVs for those. Fingers firmly crossed now.

Hester - am glad first day back went well but make sure you take it easy tonight

Molly - hope your meeting went well with your DS and college

Hugs to everyone for the lovely supportive messages and positive vibes, all greatly appreciated.

Trying to finish DD1's blanket but its just getting heavier all the time....can't take it with me as easily now so have started another cardigan (pale green) for my grandniece or nephew.

Very proud of myself to-day...visited 2 Aldi shops for wool and only bought the wool...didn't need anything else but that doesn't usually stop me, am determined to keep to my GC this month, there is lots of food in the house so we will go with that until at least most of it is gone....not sure how pleased OH will be with some of his dinners but can't be helped.

Glad to hear that your first day back at work went well Hester, but take it easy and take carp from nobody.

Haven't seen your hair BB....are we friends on FB?

JackieO...you are so right about keeping active in retirement....OH is very hard to move to go anywhere so I go places on my own....he doesn't really like flying....gets confused and dithery at airports, something to do with the fact that he is very deaf, in spite of 2 hearing aids.

Hugs to all in need or want of one or more, stay safe and well
