Wait for the next message demanding to know how a child's pet hamster can be removed from the 'tool'!sharpy2010 wrote: »It was a vacuum cleaner, which is not something that most people would term a tool, and in turn suggests that this chap is a bit unusual...!

There are some out on the loose aren't there !
I reckon you can lay some of the blame on the last government's 'Care in the community' program ;-)The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Well, to conclude the story, I've received an eBay message from him now with a "Hi thanks" and nothing further, so I assume he is now happy with his tool (oo-er!).0

I sold a vac too - and got a very irrate message that it did not work, so she had gone to tesco and bought anther - as her home needed a vac that night. It was all my fault.
I asked what the problem was and she said she plugged it in and nothing happened. I said did you turn it on? She said it does not have a switch -so she assumed it powered up when plugged in.
I said its the red button down by where you feet would be. You press it with your foot :rotfl:
I offered a full refund on tracked return but heared nothing. I assume she now as 2 working vacs

You'd think of all people, a woman would know where the switch for a vacuum was ;-)

I wonder if he sent the message to you in error?
Maybe he had bought a tool from someone else & wasn't bright enough to realise that you didn't have both items.
Not that it's an excuse for rudeness.0
