Comps E: 30/09 close during the day- don't need bumping to say closed

For Flips Sake Comps end at various times during the day they close, they don't need bumping up the board just to say closed.

It's one thing pressing expired but it takes just as many expired clicks to be moved if it is bumped or not.

Perhaps PM the person/people who do this if it disrupts your comping?

Think that would be a far more polite way of asking them not to do it

Been discussed on the "spare moment " thread, seemed to be settled that comps would not be bumped for ending on the day they should but it looks like there are loads being bumped tonight.

As a new BG is now near perhaps it is time to get the expired count increased to stop the expire-a-mania bumping of threads.

Perhaps the person forgot? not sure that's why I said to Pm the person/persons doing it.

Apparently the forum team are busy with sorting out the big forum change that's coming soon.

So think that is what the hold up is about, not the size of the website & being busy with what they normally do, but that with the new forum design too.

Must admit, busy/hard day, couldn't get on FB for ages (to do comps), little time for mse, then @@@ bumping. (perhaps should have gone for the praise, vent and warnings section).

Don't worry about it, I've done it myself many times :beer:

I wish humans were born with a stand back switch that you can push when you hit that @@@!. I would certainly press it often

When you are on a competition post it is just above the first post next to the "reply" button towards the left side of the screen.

People will always do something that someone doesn't like or prefer, it's the nature and non-uniformity of the board. There's things people do on here that I think 'What's the point?' but conversely, I know there's things I do on here also that make people think the same.

Generally though, we all get by (don't we?)

Don't think the village would like that, I'd need a heck of a shout to reach the sea from here, it must be over 20 miles away.:rotfl:
