Hi Guys,
i want to buy a domain name..... but all the sites i've seen seem to want recurring payments.
Can anyone recommend a Domain website with just a one-off payment for the year?
Thanks.
When you say recurring we're only talking about yearly and roughly £8pa. It's not a weekly or monthly thing and neither an amount that will break the bank?Lao Tzu - "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime"

I was also thinking that, yeah no point renewing a domain you don't want, but hardly a finanacial disaster if it happened.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Well, it's worked out at £13 (as i bought a co.uk and .com).
As it's a new website venture, i'm not sure after 1 year i'll still need the domains....and i'd rather spend that £13 on something i need [or even give it to charity] - rather than give it to some rich company.
I went with UK-Cheapest in the end....and they allow you to disable the recurring payments option.0 -

Then just make sure you don't auto renew, most if not all will give you the option.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Easily.co.uk certainly do this, and send a reminder when it's up for renewal. UK domains are only available in 2 year chunks, but are as cheap as dust so who cares?
A bit late now, but +1 for easily. Ive used them for "easily" (see what I did there) over 10 years hosting between 4-10 domains with them and have always found them reliable and professional.
Plus they don't auto renew. But they do send you timely reminders.• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

Most hosting companies don't have an auto renew for your domain address renewal. Fortunately this is something that you normally have to do manually, but even if it did happen then, you'd only be a few quid out of pocket :grouphug:Lao Tzu - "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime"
