Hi Guys,
i want to buy a domain name..... but all the sites i've seen seem to want recurring payments.
Can anyone recommend a Domain website with just a one-off payment for the year?
Thanks.

Easily.co.uk certainly do this, and send a reminder when it's up for renewal. UK domains are only available in 2 year chunks, but are as cheap as dust so who cares?0

I don't know where you have been looking, but what are the recurring fees for (other than renewal fees which you will obviously have to pay if you wish to retain ownership)0 -
^^ Possibly automatic renewals and the OP just wants the domain for a year0

im assuming they want hosting as well, and not just a domain name ?0

If that's the case, then simply advise the provider that you don't wish to renew.
You could also cancel DD, CPA, etc with the bank to ensure no additional payments are ever collected.
Be aware that .co.uk domains are registered for 2 years, but most other domains can be registered for just a year if required0 -

The OP didn't mention anything about hosting.
Hosting costs money, so that is why most providers charge, especially if you want reliable, ad-free hosting.
But remember you can host wherever you like (with any reputable domain registration agents)
Perhaps the OP has some free hosting from their ISP, or perhaps they are prepared to accept one of the free hosting plans that do exist (usually funded by adverts) ... but that shouldn't affect where the OP obtains their domain name from0 -
ukcheapest let you take .co.uk for 1 year.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
