Coffee Conundrum?

I bought a bialetti coffe maker in 1989 and I use it every day to make between 1 and 3 brews and it is still going strong! I have changed the rubber ring on it once in that time and that was last year! http://www.gallacoffee.co.uk/acatalog/Moka_Stove-top.html It makes excellent coffee and IMO much better than the cafetieres or drip through coffee makers. I had an electric one but it didn't have the depth of flavour.Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

Ha! Me too - my coffee has to be scalding. I have about a 30sec window to drink my coffee once it's cool enough not to burn but not too cold for me to drink!
I prewarm everything I use - swish the cafetiere out with water from the kettle before it's boiled, then use that water to warm up my mug and flask (I make two cups, one comes to work and one gets drunk at breakfast) and I'm not above microwaving my coffee if it's gotten too cold. At weekends when I'm pottering about the house I stick it in a thermal mug.
I haven't found a filter pot that will make coffee hot enough for me to enjoy straight from the pot.0
