Have a nice holiday or weekend away and good luck with the catching up, if I just miss a day I have pages to go through dont know how I feel about going away, how sad is that. I would want a comp with me but I think my friends and DD would not allow that. DD allready thinks I spend too much time on here, cheek of herWhat we see depends mainly on what we look for

Do you think that your chances of winning are any different if you just send in a postal entry instead of the the entry form or wrapper etc?
Some comps allow phone calls, texts, and postal entries. How does this work when a winner is chosen?
Is there anyone here with inside information about the selection process? Just curious really.0 -
Whooo hooooo I got back from my hols on 4th Aug and have just caught up on all the comps I missed - I'm totally up to date :j

Morning all,
I've just started comping on here in the last two weeks.
I have started to use a different email addy for my competitions but some places I'd joined up to on my old address.
What I'd like to know is, how do you know if you've got a genuine email winning notification? I've received loads of spam recently telling me I've won millions here there and everywhere and am just wondering how you tell the difference......apart from the dodgy spelling mistakes and strange address.
Best wishes

:rotfl: that's pretty much it, but you can become familiar with dodgy spam wins on this thread:

then you can tell which are genuine0 -
A little while ago I posted a competition hosted by Healthy Soul. This was an email comp asking for the answer to a question which I supplied.
Today I received this email."We are pleased you have promoted the Healthy Soul competition on moneysavingexpert.com. However, would you mind removing the suggested answer (if you can do this). The idea of the competition is to get people to go to the website but by giving the answer they have no need.""Recommending the competition is great, but taking a chunk of our website is infringing copyright so would you mind when doing it again just giving the website address and saying what the prizes are."I have edited my post as requested but I don't know whether to feel chastened or not. What do you guys think?DenIf a man stands in the middle of the forest speaking and there is no

What was in your post? Did you copy and paste the a) b) and c) options and the answer or just your 'guess' at the answer?
I have no qualifications, but in my opinion, if it is the latter, I can't see that you have taken anything from their site. Well not any more than they appear to be happy with, unless they don't want their T&Cs brought to anyone's attention0 -
No idea, but every comp posted on here is usually just copied and pasted from the comp hoster.0
-
Surely if the answer is just 'sought out' by you from a website or wherever and not just cut & pasted, then they can't have copyright on 'knowledge'!
I think its just bluster. But hey I'm no copyright lawyer.
