For the past 2 days i've been inundated with clash media emails. Has anyone else? I would never enter one of their comps but must have done without knowing. It could have only been one from here so I think we'll have to be really careful from now on and double check each comp.

For those who enter 30 + comps a day could I ask where else you find your competitions or do you enter every single one that is on MSE?

I tend to pick through and enter the ones I fancy generally holidays, appliances, days out etc but dont feel as if I'm entering that many and wanted to increase my chances!

    Any recommendations welcome :j

P.S. Sorry if this post is in the wrong place I wasn't sure where to put it :o

I enter probably about 80 a day(approx, it varies from day to day) that includes the daily entry ones aswell. I just enter the comps on here and don't use any other site. I don't think its necessary to go anywhere else as there is plenty of choice on here - and lots of great people!

  • I just use mainly this site as well and agree with Little Holly about the people. If I do come across another competition that I want to enter, I post it on here. That way I can keep track and try and give something back because people are working hard to keep the forum running.

As I have time on my hands at the moment, I tend not to be very picky about what I enter because I know that I can always find a family member or friend who will appreciate the prize. I'm sure that will change once I go back to work.

As for finding the other competitions, if by small chance I've kept up with the ones on MSE, I'll either tend to go through the emailed newsletters from the sites that make you sign up and post any that have been missed. Otherwise sometimes I go to obviously places like magazine websites, TV channels etc....

I enter as many comps as I can. Normally just from here and from time to time I venture over to Loquax but I find there are plenty on here to keep me going!

I use this site mainly and Loquax a little too. A lot of the comps on Loquax are posted on here too, so take care you don't enter twice.

I only enter on here, there are so many I dont need to go anywhere else, and I like the banter on here. I enter ones that either myself family or friends could use and its probably about 30/40 a day at least

Lol expected this thread to be full of rudey dudey type comments  :o :rotfl:

I enter them all in my own name but having said that I've not won anything from the likes of Zoo, FHM, Nuts, etc yet.
Just started entering my blokey's details for comps too but only ones where they just want your email addy as he doesn't like me giving his details out to the whole world!! I enter him into girlie comps too so double the chance of winning ME a prize :D Also enter under 16s comps but in my nephews name and no luck their either yet.

Make up another user name & email for OH ~ you can then decide if you want to give him the prize or not.:rotfl:
  • Apart from the comps I enter from a parenting site I'm a member of, I only use this site for comps, there's more than enough here to keep me going, I can't keep up with half of them. :o

I was a member of loquax briefly, but I found the tracker a bit confusing, & I was spending too much time trying to work it out.

I like the simplicity of it here, once you've thanked the poster of a comp, you can track it easliy & people often post the answers here too, & if they've found any little probleams with any of the comps, they'll post those here too.
:):D Tightwad. And proud of it! :D:)
  • The tracker is not the be all and end all of Loquax (although v2 is now live btw and should be a lot easier to use as it involves using just one page).

However, tracker aside, if you visit the section called Quick Comps, the listings are in a very simple to use format, split into prize categories and with filters on new/closing comps.
