Competitions Discussion Thread Part 2

Ok, maybe I'm being a bit anal about this, but I keep a spreadsheet for all the competitions I enter... It helps to stop duplicate entries, reminds me to re-enter if it is a daily comp, and shows me who to thank if I win!
It's pretty simple to set up and keep on top of - cut & paste the url, quick description of the prize, end date & source. And to avoid spending hours organizing finish dates, etc, use Data/ Filter / Autofilter from the toolbar (if that makes sense!).
My file is set up with several sheets - current comps, finished comps, winnings (a rather empty sheet at the mo), and links to regular comps. I tried a sheet with passwords & usernames but it was too much hassle - so now I use an old filofax address book for that!
God, I'm such a geek

Hmmmmm been wondering this for a while TBH, so I thought I'd conduct a little survey
So do you or not......
Do you just rush in and enter the competition just by the title thread?
Or do your read the OP thoroughly and then decided whether to enter?
yep I'm being nosey and I don't care!0 -
I'm somewhere in between, I dont read OP thoroughly but I dont rush in eitherWhat we see depends mainly on what we look for

I scan for important bits usually, then scroll down to read others' replies if there are any. If I have a problem I go back and read it thoroughly.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0
