  • Morning all
Last day of freedom for me, back to work tomorrow, but only part time to start with.
Fish fed, hubby and I have a cuppa each, hubby's on lates this week so 2 'til 10.
I've not had breakfast yet, I'm still full from y'days roast dinner which had, cauli, broccoli, runner beans, carrots and peas with it, I ate loads.
Tea tonight will be cauli/broccoli & stilton soup for me, hubby will have LO beef and mash at lunchtime, before he goes to work. I'm going to write up a packed lunch list for me because some mornings I can't be bothered to do my pack lunch, silly really as I do hubby one.
Plans for today include some ironing, making the soup and prepping more apples.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

    Morning all,

Terrible IBS for the last couple of days. I really am going to stick to the no wheat rule. It helps me enormously to manage this condition. It's so hard but I'm going to have to stick wth it.
Up early this morning despite a disturbed night as we had Indi Rock and Roll by the Killers at top volume. Ds3 like music while he is in the shower:eek:
I'm hoping for a quietish morning. We pick DGS up from school on Mondays and have promised him we shall go to the park hope it's not pouring down. DD is speaking to her landlord today so we should know where she stands and how soon she can move back home. The sooner she does the sooner she can begin really saving for a deposit for her new house.
We shall be giving the box room a quick lick of paint. DGS has asked for City blue which really goes against the grain as we are all united fans but I suspect he will get his own way:D
Anyway have a good Monday x

    Good morning everybody,

Very blustery today so I shall pop the towels out to dry.Apart from washing & ironing there isnt any HW as it was all done for the open viewing day yesterday, which went ok as we did have one set of viewers & they really liked the house. They didnt know the area though so whether they like it enough is another matter.Their house is sold though ;) The EA is doing another open viewing in a couple of weeks so we'll have to keep tidy (ha ha:D)We went out for tea as we were shattered,DGD overnight, puppy and big clean/tidy up combo are 'difficult'.No leftovers for an easy tea today though but the freezer is bursting so I'm sure I'll find something.

DS2 is a bit cross as his FIL2b helped with some glossing at the house,DH says its awful :(They burned all the thick old paint off back to the wood and sanded between 2 undercoats ready for him and I dont think he's even wiped it before he started when dust accumulated there after DS put the flooring down.He is trying to help but being builders they set a high standard but what can you do :o

Today I am going to make a birthday card for our friend tomorrow and finish the Moses basket.Take puppy out for a walk too-yesterday was her first outing into the big wide world & she was very excited and got to sniff a lovely staffie :D.The puppy class chap emailed back to say the Tuesday class was full so we are going to the Sunday morning one instead.

Right, will leave you all with well wishes & hugs if you need one .Have a good day x

    Morning all,

MIA this weekend as we were running out of our routine.

DH's appointment is still a fortnight away but that will just repeat the diagnostics that were done 3 months ago - it is a waste of NHS time and money, but what can you do? I hope this Specialist will be able to arrange the "simple" procedure promptly as DH is deteriorating physically and getting low mentally.

Anyway, can't turn back the clock so onwards with the campaign to keep him positive - I'm taking him away for a few days so I won't be around for the rest of the week. We're off on a low impact adventure with minimal driving/walking for him.:)

    Hugs all round x
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • Good morning all.

Kids at school. Husband at work. Cat asleep somewhere.

Bins are out. Washing is finishing, ready to go out. I've just finished a bowl of porridge.

All the downstairs needs a swish today, as do the bathrooms.

Must get the mince out of the freezer for a chilli tonight.

Happy birthday to Small Bean today Bitsy!

    Love, hugs & spoons

    Lisa x

    Morning all.

pretty cloudy and dull here but it was like this yesterday and the sun came out and we had a pretty warm afternoon and evening. I'm hoping for much the same today.

NAR thinking of you today on your final day of work. Hope you enjoy your leaving party later on today. Retirement must feel so good for you after all those years of hard work.

Not much planned for my day today as I did most of my bits and pieces last night whilst the men were out. I'm sure I can find something to keep me busy though.

    Have a great day all,

  • Dang I'm tired lol. Mrs milks has slept 10 minute power naps for last few days. Good job I don't need much sleep:eek:

Noah very quiet yesterday and says he has a sore throat and cold but insisted on going to school. Have told them to ring me if he feels worse i will get him.
American visitors here and house searching starts for them before his job starts.

Chicken paleo fajitas for tea with leaves as wraps rather than bread.

Still lots of paperwork and putting case together for Noah's autism school.
If all else fails I will be home educating.

De cluttering continues ... Sorted ashers clothes out and need to sort my wardrobe and put summer clothes away.
Am sorting all my jars and bottles ready for preserving onslaught!

    Off to feed mrs milks
    Have good days all

    Morning All,

Well this is my last ever post in here from my work's PC!

JackieO - glad you had a great celebration on Saturday.
Hester - ease yourself back into work gently. Seems strange me finishing and you starting back!
Judi - thank you for your kind wishes.

I have a presentation party at lunchtime to get through, with speeches etc, not really my cup of tea, but it has to be done! ;)

I will be spending the rest of the week sorting out my finances, I have never had so much money in my life. A big chunk will be going to pay off the mortgage and the rest to investments. Sorry no beggars please! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a good day everyone
  • NAR - Enjoy your last day!
