This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Good morning everyone
Can't believe it's Monday already and my days off are over, will now be counting the days until half term when I get a week off with DH.
Last day of September and while we have had a weekend of beautiful weather, the leaves are really well into the change of colour and falling fast. We may be having an Indian summer but the nights are drawing in fast too. The year seems to be flying past but I think that's a sign of me getting older!
Will probably be a late night at work today so am having a quick fry up for dinner with yesterday's left over brekkie stuff and some cauliflower rostis. DH has a bean salad for lunch, I am taking some chorizo and cream cheese.
Better get a move on so will leave with usual well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for anyone who needs or just wants them. Keep well and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Good Morning everyone , another week begining and another month ending.Time is just flying by at the moment
we had a great night on Saturday for my DDs 25th silver wedding anniversary,I can't believe its 25 years where has it gone to.All the family gathered and it was lovely to see the folk altogether celebrating. Some sadly were missing but not forgotten. The children love a party and all behaved beautifully. They are growing up so fast. The youngest DGS Mikey is shooting up like a weed at nine. This morning I am off to his school at 9.30 as he is getting a certificate for perfect attendance and he is so proud of it.Tomorrow he is running a heat in the medway junior cross country. He adores PE and games and never walks when he can run :)
This Friday I am off to see my big brother in France for the weekend with my two DDs and I'm really looking forward to that.Hopefully the weather will be kind.
well time to get a wriggle on as its Monday and school runs wait for no one.DDs car is better and back on the road so she is a happy bunny once more
Have a good day everyone what ever you are doing and <<hugs >> for those who are feeling down or poorly
Cheers

Morning everyone
Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x
Cloudy and overcast but dry here this morning. Washing ready to go out on the line, will put on line asap.
DH up and off to work early but not stupid early.
Yesterday we were out nearly all day, was lovely still being out without coats, although it was rather blustery. I'm really glad we didn't pay proper price to get into the attraction that we went too, as there wasn't that much to do there, but we had a day out together and a good walk in the fresh air. When we got back I did hot new potatoes, salad, cold meats etc type meal and that went down well with everyone as we haven't had anything like that for a while.
This morning en route to work I need to drop into big SM and see if they have any suitable blouses/tops for me to wear at the funeral on Friday - spoke to family last night and it appears there may be a "no black" request - which completely throws all my clothes options into a mess! I have a pair of smart grey trousers, so just need a top to go with them, but I only have a black jacket so need a top with sleeves or a top and cardigan/jumper. I also will put the next 2 bags of clothes for the clothes recycling bank in the boot of my car and drop them off on my way home tonight. I will also try to contact the doctors to cancel and re-book my appointment that I had for Thursday morning. This week is going to a busy one I can see.
Back to work for me today - expecting the normal manic Monday especially as it's the 1st of the month tomorrow - so lots of people will come in today to pay their bills.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Looks like it could be another lovely day here, got loads of washing dried outside yesterday, although at one point I thought it was going to blow away! Managed to cut the grass later on yesterday as the bins get emptied today so the cuttings will be out of the way. Keep hoping that it will be the last cut!
Day off here so going to do the ironing in a mo, DD will be off to work later, she will take a salad. Chicken something for tea, not sure what yet.
Sorted a load of paperwork yesterday so have lots more for burning. Took the old gas bbq to the tip yesterday so will use the older coal one for burning all the papers.
Have a good Monday, take care. XX0 -
Morning all,
Cooler here this morning but dry, I am off to work so little os for me, DD will be in charge of dinner and tidying through today.
Dinner will be cheese bean pie with some sausages, I have some left over roast squash which can be mixed in with the mash in the pie.
OH and I managed to get the floor down yesterday :T it was hard work but looks really nice its very comfortable and warm, for those of you on FB I have put some photos up.
Need to get dd to put a wash on and hang it up, and tonight I need to do an online shop.
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning all,
Sun is peeping out already and will hopefully hang around for at least part of the day.
WM is on (as usual) so will get that dry today. Must do some ironing too.
Off for a walk with my friend this morning, we usually go down to the river. I need some more apples so will have a look and see if we can get some on the way back
Glitterkitty - Enjoy the concert. I didn't know they were still going!
Enjoy the day everyone0 -
Morning peeps, a quick one from me while I have 5 mins.
H has the day off today as it's DS's birthday. So we are both walking kids to school. DS has requested chicken nuggets and chips for tea so if I get chance I will be very OS and make the nuggets from scratch.
My parents are visiting for a few days so will try and fit in a few trips out with them. Minimal OS I am afraid.
Hugs and spoons all round xx
